Meet your daily Queens puzzle
The Queens game is a compact crown-placing logic puzzle. Your board is split into colored regions, and your job is to place one crown in each region without sharing a row or column. Unlike chess queens, crowns here cannot touch diagonally, but they can sit on the same long diagonal when they are not neighbors.
Play today’s board, revisit the last 30 days in the archive, or choose Unlimited for a fresh challenge. Daily puzzles are the same for everyone and reset at midnight UTC. Progress, completed daily puzzles, and streaks are saved in this browser, with no account needed.

A few thoughtful strategies
Start small
A region with only one or two cells is a useful anchor. Once a crown is placed, cross out the rest of its row, column, region, and immediate neighbors.
Look for a squeeze
If all available cells in a region sit in one row, that row belongs to that region. You can rule out crown positions elsewhere in the row.
Think before you guess
Check how each possible crown would affect neighboring regions. If it leaves a region with no legal cell, that position cannot work.
A little more to know
How do you play the Queens game?
Place one crown in every row, column, and colored region. No two crowns may touch, including diagonally. Tap a cell once for a cross, twice for a crown, and again to clear it.
Is every Queens puzzle uniquely solvable?
Yes. The browser counts solutions before accepting a generated Queens board. Every published board has exactly one solution under these rules.
When does the daily Queens puzzle change?
At midnight UTC. Everyone gets the same date-seeded daily board. The archive holds the most recent 30 daily dates.
How is this different from chess or the eight queens problem?
These crowns cannot share a row, column, or colored region, and cannot touch. Long-range diagonals are allowed. It is a region logic puzzle, not a chess game.
Can I play Queens without a daily limit?
Yes. Choose Unlimited for new puzzles, Easy, Medium, or Hard presets, and board sizes from 6×6 to 9×9.
Is this an official LinkedIn game?
No. Daily Crown Puzzles is an independent project and is not affiliated with LinkedIn.
